92 es300 automatic transmission removal
I am trying to remove my automatic trans out of my 92 lexus es300. I have the axles, halfshaft and everything else removed and I am ready to unbolt it from the moter. I looked at it and it looks like its on a cradle. It looks like there is no room to remove it unless I remove the cradle but not sure. Would I have to support the motor on top and drop the cradle out from underneith or unbolt the front of the cradle and let the motor and trans tip forward to get it out??? Anyone have any ideas on how to go about this. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Yes, Before you remove the lower a brace you have to support the engine with a traverse bar that goes over the top. once you have the engine supported you can remove the bolts to the lower brace. I did this a month ago to rebuild my tranny.
Goto www. lexusownersclub.com and download the manual on the vehicle. It has the exact instruction you need to follow to remove tranny. This is what I followed to remove mine.
