I have a 2003 Lexus ES300 with the mark levinson system
I need to replace the subwoofer
It looks to be 8". The dealer wants $650 for the speaker, and $300 bucks to put it on. I told them to go bungee jump with no cord
I searched these forums and couldnt find a definitive answer.
I simply want to buy a nice aftermarket sub, I just simply need to know the ohm
Does anybody know FOR SURE, what is the ohm for the levinson 8" sub that comes in the 03 ES300? from searching people said it was anywhere from 2ohm to 16!!! FOr this 03 system, could it really come in different ohmage? Shouldnt all 03 ES300 levinson subs have the same ohm rating?
Please help!!! I refuse to give 900 bucks to the dealer!!

That is the spec per Lexus repair manual. Does it not list any specifics on the magnet? I know mine says some stuff, like mark levinson or what not, i havent looked super close to see if there was any specific info...

I looked at the orginal speaker, the easiet thing would b to simply look at the speaker and read the ohms. But theres no label no nothing, just like 8 digiits. Almost all speakers say the ohms on the back but this one does not
