Trim piece on driver's door coming loose
I own a 2000 ES300 platinum edition. It has wood trim by the window switches, etc. on the driver's door. That piece of trim is coming up, meaning whatever adhesive keeps it down has failed or someone did something to it, to cause the trim piece to lift up and it won't stay down.
Before I go pulling out this trim piece, can someone help out here with how I would go about fixing it and placing it back in properly once I get it out? I'm not even sure at this point how to get it out, don't want to pull aimlessly.

Hi guys,
I hope I can help you.
The same thing happened to me on the wood trim power window switch on the front passenger side of my 97 ES 300.
One section of it was raised and it wouldn't push down. I tried slipping double sided tape down the gap but it just wouldn't stay down. I eventually removed the trim piece and noticed that one of the tabs was broken. There was nothing I could do to keep it down so I had to buy another whole new wood trim piece! BE VERY VERY CAREFUL if you decide to attempt to remove the trim pieces - the tabs really keep the piece in place and will break (if they aren't already!!) if you try to force it out too hard. On mine car I had to prise from the top and bottom with a blunt knife (one tab was already broken on mine)
Here's the pics so you can see what I mean. - I'm not sure if it will be the same on your cars though.
TRIM PIECE - FRONT
TRIM PIECE - REAR - meant to be 2 tabs (You can see the missing tab at the top of the piece)
CLOSE UP OF THE GOOD TAB:
BROKEN TAB (below):
I Hope this gives you some ideas.
Best of luck,
