Default Intake or Not?

Just seeing who has and who hasn't. And if they have just short-ram or what have you. I'm also selling my custom short-ram.

I got a custom Cosmo Racing short ram

Results:
Quicker throttle response and more aggressive sound.

now all I need is a custom y-pipe to go to the throttlebody.

That is a really nice-looking unit there. Question: do you worry about the air temperature being too hot, since you're sucking air in right over the engine and under the hood? Would a heat shield prove beneficial in lowering your air intake temps at all?

Is that how those year Es300's intakes look like? What's with the Y-pipe. That intake is so restrictive, especially with that big plastic box. I don't see any imaginable air-flow gain. Maybe just sound because of the filter. Just my opinion.

Weapon R Secret Weapon Intake, love it . Aggressive sound and minimal increase in throttle response.

Pheonix shows you how to make your own here. And he did it on a gen 2, I believe.

i have a semi-custom cai. The pipe that holds the maf sensor is made by RMM and everything else is custom.

i love the sound it makes but thats all this intake really does. Although my butt dyno told me i created AT LEAST 50 HP, but then again thats what it would say if i put stickers all over my car.

The top coupler goes straight on the TB and then the MAF sensor goes in between the second coupler and the filter.

I have a custom CAI for my 93 es. The sound is very aggressive when accelerating under load but i dont know how much it helps with performance.

When I took out the stock air box I left the portion that brought in the fresh air (it runs under the battery towards the bumper). Although I'm sure it still sucks up a lot of hot air. I would invest in a heat shield if I knew anyone in solcal (SD) that could make one.

I did the same thing. I gained a couple horses, cause it shaved a little time off my 0-60. Sounds real nice too, especially in the high RPM's.
