Default tachometer

My tack is not functioning. Everything else on the gauge cluster works fine. Any ideas?? 1998. The needle lights up.

Cool

Depending on what year you have (You need to fill that out.......)
You've:
Lost the IGF connection from the ignition coil
Lost the connection with the ECU
Lost a power/ground connection
What you really mean is the needle has burned out, in which case you need to click my sig & search for needle replacement

That is really strange for the tachometer in a '98 ES to not function. This problem is most often seen in the previous gen ES ('92-'96). Not sure exactly what could cause the problem on your '98..

Cool

LoL! It's not common for any year. The old style tachs have a single wire (IGF) coming off the coil that runs the tach & grounds out. Doesn't really get more reliable than a wire and a ground.
