Help! Just purchased a 97 ES
Hello Everyone!! My first post and I already need something
OK, here is the scoop. Just got a 97 es300 for a daily commuter. GREAT CAR!!! Less than 100K miles for right at $4K. Good I thought! The radio works but i cant see a DANG thing (shot gotta get a new one) NONE of the interior lights work and the trunk release button wont open the trunk. I DO NOT have a manual so Im lost. I have located two of the fuse boxes, one to the left of the steering column and one of course under the hood on the left side as well but neither of them show in any diagram the fuse's im trying to locate. I never knew how much I needed interior lights until now and the person from which the car was purchased only had a valet key (yet another thing I have to get) so I cant even get into the trunk. I tried to just replaced one of the bulbs to see if by chance they where all just blown but it still didnt work. Can some PPLEEEAASSEE help me. Thank you so much in advance!

Gotta get that owner's manual first, that'll help in the long run. You can get it for free by registering the ownership info at http://www.lexus.com (click on the "Owners" link at the top).

Thanks guys!!! I thought it was a great price too. Thanks for the link on the Manual I will do that immediately. Im dropping it off with my mechanic this afternoon to have it checked out. So wish me luck. I also had a 99 GS4 that I loved but started having a great number of problems so I sold it but I really loved that car. I was so suprised how smoothly this car shifts and drives. I honestly do not feel a thing and really feel like I totally got my money's worth and then some. The car is FILTHY on the inside so its gonna take some TLC but I can already tell my weekend car will be just that. Thanks for the welcome. Im sure Ill be on here all the time (its addicting!)

just as an update...i FIXED IT!!! YAY. Luckily they had the Manual right on the lexus website so after a little trial and error I found the blown fuse and everything is peachy. Now I just have to get a REAL key and a new radio. NOT BAD!
