Radio and Climate control went out!? help!
Today I plugged in my cell phone car charger in to the cig. lighter and as soon as i did my radio, climate control, and cig. lighter went out. Oddly enough my clock still works.
I checked two fuses, the cig. lighter fuse under the steering wheel and the radio fuse under the hood. Where else should I look? Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what caused this?
BTW, I have a 96 es300. I dont know what I would do without my radio and heat! ahh...
TIA

Tuwk,
I'm having a hard time getting a solid idea of what may have happened by reading the wiring diagram, but try checking this. There's a 40-amp fuse named "40A AM1" located on the fuse panel under the dash, this is tied in to the cigarette lighter, among other things. Other than the ignition switch, I can't see anything else between the lighter and the alternator and main fuse.
