Smile Lexus Service for tires

I have a dilemma; My ES 300 has 80,000 miles and it is time to replace the tires. The Lexus dealer that I take may car for service charges $850 for 4 tires and replacement labor, where as for the same tires and the labor for replacemt at Sams Club automotive section, it costs $400 with life time warranty and rotation and balance every 5000 miles for free. My question is, for routine services on Lexus, is it advisable to take it elsewhere that saves you truck load of money. My Lexus has no warranty as it is a 1997 model.

For routine services like tire rotation and oil changes, it is advisable to let an independent service/body shop to do the work, or a mechanic friend if you know one. You can even save more money and time if you can do the work yourself, just gotta have the right tools and equipment available.

In your case, I'm pretty positive that there are many affordable tire shops that can replace your tires and do services such as balancing and alignment. It wouldn't make a whole lot of financial sense to go to a Lexus dealership for a tire change. Do you have a specific choice for tires in mind for your ES?

Cool

Agreed!

Take your Lexus to a good tire shop or a place like Costco.......not the Lexus dealer.

What tire size do you need & what exactly are you looking for in a new set of tires?
