Hi all,

My parents are about to pull the trigger on a '16 350 White with Black interior. 18 inch wheels and all the options with the exception of the ML radio. ( I feel they should get the radio) The dealer told them that the roof is slightly different on the car with the 18 inch wheels. They claim they can see the difference so maybe it is.

The dealer is offering them 447 for the lease. Lexus will pick up the first month payment and the last two on the Prius they currently have. Is this a good deal or should they expect a little better?

The dealer also told the the tire and wheel package is 900 for 3 years. The dealer told them the tires cannot be repaired if they get a nail in them?

Any help. This would be a first Lexus for them.

Is the dealer suggesting that the ES350 has run flat tires, which normally aren't repaired? I don't believe that the ES350 comes with run flats. A good question for your parents to ask themselves is how much per year they have spent recently for tire repairs and replacement. Chances are that it's not $300 per year or $900 over three years. These packages are VERY profitable for the dealership.

I agree. I have a BMW with Run flats and got the Tire package my first time around but not the second because I never used it. They drive a lot through NYC, but I still believe 900 is a lot to spend.

How about the ML radio? Think that should be something I should push them towards? The 447 a month is also with 12k miles.

For what its worth I won't buy another Lexus without the Mark Levinson Sound. Makes a huge difference if your into music. Some people don't really think its that important especially when they are trying to sell you one without it but take a ride in one that has it and one that doesn't and you'll quickly figure it out. Again just my opinion

Typical sales BS. All he is trying to do is upsell you on a tire package to put money in his own pocket. Decline it.

When is the last time they had a flat? Did they have more than one? Did it cost $300.00 to fix? Unless the tire is damaged on the side, MOST punctures are repairable. Here in SE Pennsylvania, for about $20.00.
Listen to Maikerusan. This spiel is designed to separate you from your money...

I'd also decline it. The sales man is just sweet talking you into buying an overpriced tire package.
