Emergency Key insert replacement. FYI!
I just want to share with the lexus community something I learned recently. If you were aware of this already, then excuse me for the repetition.
You can order an additional replacement key insert online with just the door lock code for less than $20 shipped. This is a laser cut that matches the OEM cut perfectly.
I am not selling this service, nor promoting it, just passing along the information. Just a happy customer, I ordered the additional insert with just the lock code, and works just like the original.

No, not from the dealer. Nothing at the dealer is simple or less than $20. You can get get the lock code easily by removing one screw and looking at the printed number on the lock. I didn't wanted to post the link, in case it violated forum policies.
I found it online, while doing research on how to register a new smart key without going to the dealer. You can learn about this in my other post.
