Lexus Quality
I purchased a new 2013 Lexus ES 350. Today the car has 15000 miles. All service done to the vehicle was at the Lexus dealer. The car is always clean and stored in a clean dry garage.
I noticed that the entire exhaust system has a lot of external corrosion. I mentioned this to the service person the last time servicing was done to the car and was told that there is warranty on the exhaust system but it will not be replaced until there is a leak. Lexus staff did mention that there were several deep pits but it is not leaking.
Is this something that I should pursue while there is still a warranty or is this part of the current quality business model for Lexus?
I have owned several Toyota vehicles since 1997 and never had any external corrosion concerns whatsoever.

Yes, I live in Alberta where there is ten months of winter and two months of late in the fall.
The weather and road conditions can be hectic at times and salt is used too, but since I am retired I am not forced to drive in the worst conditions. In addition, since 2000 I am equipped to wash the underside of my car.
I had a look at the exhaust system of a 2010 lexus and there is no pitting whatsoever on the entire exhaust system.
My question still stands about the Quality of the 2013 Lexus exhaust system.
What are other lexus owners experiencing with corrosion on the exhaust system?

Interesting that your '10 didn't have the pitting of the '13.
Could be lesser quality part cost cutting.
