New wheels
I just purchased an ES and I want to replace the 17" wheels on it to the 18" OEM. Any suggestions? Where to sell what I have and how much do they worth? Is is only dealers who carry these wheels or there are other sellers?

If my es300h came with the 18" wheels, I would have kept them. I really like the design on the 18" wheels. Ebay has several used sets for about the same price of a new wheel through Sewell Lexus (not including our discount). I guess you could sell your set for around the same price.

Personally I am not a fan of the silver paint against my gray car so I replaced my wheels with 19" BBS CS5 (machined with anthracite finish). I received many compliments on the look.

I had a good experience with a set of OEM wheels that I bought on ebay a couple of years ago. In my opinion, the transaction went well because the seller was local and allowed in-person pickup which allowed me to inspect the wheels before handing over my cash.

The beautiful "18 high gloss wheels are customarily bundled with the Ultra Luxury Package. They can be ordered on lower cost Luxury or even Premium level ES350's (but not 300h's ) for the same $880. Lead time for special orders are roughly 16 weeks. We special ordered our 300h to get LK Lane Departure in Oct '13 and got it Jan '14. The Parts Dept price for the bare wheel, w/o TPS sensor or tire is $618.73!
Pull off wheels are considered used and Dealers don't like to mess with the legalize involved in stocking/reselling them. Which wheels do you have, the stock '17 or the $110 commonly equipped High Gloss "17's?

I contacted the dealer and they told me the same. I got the commonly equipped High Gloss "17's.

Sounds good. I'm in Cleveland. Why you took them off? Are you intersted in selling them?

The ES looks like a total different car with 18 vs 17 styles. I guess that is why when it was introduced in 2013 at press event even hybrid model had the 18 on it.. This and no pano roof is what made me pass on getting hybrid model. Don't understand why they don't offer them on all different pkgs. Yes I know with roof weight and 18inch I may get less MPG on hybrid but that should be the buyers choice .
Then they wonder why avg age for ES is like 60, this is why. The ES is great car that a young generation would like if they style it. The ultra ES with pano roof the 18inch is really nice looking car but you hardly see it being produced.
My advise get ultra you will get wheels the ML / pano and everything else. At end of the day with negotiation you will not be much higher then regular pkg one especially on a lease residual is now same on ultra unlike the older ES and current GS. I paid low 42 for 48k sticker and this is 2015 back in early Nov.

Lexus' strategy when the ES350 came out was that it would appeal to the older demographic that's been buying them for years. The IS and GS are positioned towards the younger buyer.
I agree, that more choices would be a good thing to broaden the appeal of the ES.

I've got a long way to go before I hit 60 and I'm trundling about in an ES hybrid Some guy in Florida posted lovely pix of an ES300h on 20" rims and lowered with coilovers. It's a handsome car in most color combos and looks classy when modded, not like a slammed Accord or (gasp) Camry.
