Lexus Enform Remote Review
I just wanted to give a quick review on the Lexus Enform Remote in 2015 models. First you must download the app which is separate from regular Lexus Enform. I highly suggest you stay at the dealership until your at pending status. What occurs is you need to hit SOS button to have the app programmed, then contact SOS again to confirm the connection and they will give you a pin to enter into the app. Once entered the app goes into pending status, once activated you will receive an email and alert within 48 hours, it took mine about 6 hours. The process is a bit complicated until you reach pending status, so I advise you have them do it until it complete.
The app it self is very easy to use, but I recommend managing your alerts as they can become very annoying, For example by default its set to email/push notification if you shut off the car off and not lock it, which in my case I have a garage so I leave it unlocked and received 2 messages alerting me. The best part I like is that at anytime I can check the status of the car through app, fuel level, door lock status, windows, trunk and if anything was alerted it will alert me. Also the location is dead on it knew my exact address. The remote start works great, however it does shutdown when you unlock or open the doors. What is also nice is always gives you a message back telling you if you actions were successful or not.
This app would be great if you could use it as your actual key and not need the key fob, maybe in the future. After a year when you have to pay I don't think I would renew it, I think it is a really great feature for someone who shares the car and wants to monitor or for someone that doesn't have a garage and need to heat up the car prior to driving.

Great review - thank you.
Quick question: does the remotely-started vehicle also shut off if only the trunk is opened (not the doors)? The scenario I am thinking about is remotely warming up the car, walk out in the snow, pop the trunk to get the snow scraper, then open the doors when ready to drive away.

Tested it, when the trunk is opened the car shuts off as it does when doors are opened. Again why can't it sense the key fob on you and stay on. Hopefully they update something in future.
Don't know if it's a bug but twice the car didn't start and it stated vehicle battery to low. I find it hard to believe as I have almost 400 miles on it and it starts fine from inside no hesitation. I will monitor it and have lexus check battery at 5k service hoping it's just the app.

I recently purchased a 2015 ES350 and downloaded the app. I have had the same annoying problems that you describe including the low battery alert. I also turned off all email notifications but they still send anyway. Ended up writing a rule to trash them. The app is extremely inconsistent and the dealership basically just tells me that the app is not very good and that's pretty much it. I give it about a 20% chance to even connect to the car at any point, and sometimes the notifications come 8-10 hours after the event happens. If you are expecting this as a feature in your new car, hope you look elsewhere or wait until they figure out how to integrate technology because I have had nothing but trouble since I bought my car. Random lockups of the Nav and radio controls, Enform app suite and Remote both extremely buggy and cause more problems than they solve.

Me too
I called Lexus 1800 number yesterday and customer service told me they will open up an incident ticket on the non starting low battery failure notice. She advised she had other callers with the same complaint of low battery notice and that in 3 days a resolution specialist would contact me. As for the NAV lag I changed the view from 3D to normal and it seemed to approve the lag. That is something I think we will need to wait for an update to be released. As for remote they should have never released it knowing of all these bugs. I can live with late notices but I would have really liked to have my car to be able to start remotely epically for winter. I suggest you calling Lexus also to create an incident to this way it's documented.
Will keep you updated once I recieve my follow up call.

Great you were able to get through and open an incident. I called the 800 number and was told that they would not open anything unless it came from the dealership, and my dealership has not been very responsive to the problems with the technology to date in general. I took it to them directly and was told "yeah a lot of people are complaining on the internet about this" but took no action. Glad to know this is a known problem and they are actively tracking to resolution. Thanks for the information, it is more than I got from the dealer.

® form remote
After 3 weeks and 2 incident reports, I finslly talked to a human in customer satisfaction dept. remote works in ALL features except engine start. it did start engine a couple of times 3 weeks ago, but since then sends an alert that the battery is too low...brand new car. took it to the dealer...battery is at max charge. Human i talked to said she would file a report..gave me name of technician and her extension number..so i have renewed hope.
i know there is hope because when i hit engine start it cycles and the hazard lights flash then there is a whirrr and a loud metallic click.

Enform remote on 2015 ES 350
Talked to a customer satisfaction rep today who told me they have a bunch of complaints about low battery alert on engine start. Engineers have told them it is the cold weather causing the battery to report a diminished charge...especially on the East Coast. Said it will take a software patch to fix this ..."they are working on it". i have dealt with 5 technicians at lexus remote over the past 5 weeks....first time they have told me the truth.

I see you're in TX also. I live in the Houston area. Just curious where you bought your ES.
