Handsfree unlocking at a distance
On two recent occasions my 2012 ES has UNLOCKED ITSELF as I approached the vehicle with the key fob in my pocket but BEFORE I touched the door handle. In both cases I was about 2-3 feet away and walking toward the vehicle. The first time was at night. I do not remember whether the second time was at night or during the day. Seems almost like the signal to automatically turn on the puddle light decided instead to unlock the doors.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could a low battery in the fob cause confusion to the system?

Our 2010 ES does the same thing - I'm going to look tonight to see if it is something that is user programable in the user settings. It kind of drives me crazy at times when the car automatically unlocks and I'm reaching for the button on the handle to unlock it and then I lock it.
