Tilt the sunroof up so you can see all of the metal that surrounds the sun roof, clean all the dirt and residue from it them do the same to the sunroof rubber seal. after these surfaces are clean, apply auto wax to the metal on the roof, let dry then wipe off. Get a can of clear silicone spray and spray the rubber gasket on the sunroof. Let it sit for a few minutes then wipe off and spray again. Be sure to hold a rag or something behind where you are spraying so silicone doesn't get all over the body. This is probably the most overlooked area when cars are washed and detailed. You should do the same to all of the gaskets that surround the doors and the inner door seals attached to the body as well as the trunk. If you have not already done so this would be a very good time to make sure the sunroof drains are clear as well. There are many post on how to do this, I personally like the trimmer string method , some folks like to blow out with air but sometimes you can blow the hose off if air preasure is not regulated.

This problem does not sound like the drain being plugged but rather the weatherseal around the sunroof either not closing correctly due to debris or because the weatherstripping is coming up off the sunroof.
I have seen both of these issues happen. If it is debris it can just be cleaned off like the above poster mentions. If it is the top weatherstripping around the sunroof you can "glue" it back down with some silicone. However, this will only be a bandaid as it will very much pop back up with time.
