Changing from Fully Synthetic Oil to Normal Oil
Hi everyone, I have ES350 year 2007, I use Castrol fully Synthetic Oil as engine oil.
My question is can I use normal oil(not fully synthetic) on next oil change? what effect would it be on the engine, is there anything special needed to be done at the time of oil change like flush engine etc?
Please, any help will be appriciated

Why you would do that? Fuly synthetic is recommended for this engine.

LjeksesES: The previous owner of vehicle had synthetic oil and its too much money for me to change it to synthetic everytime from lexus dealer (almost double) however at the same time I also want to keep car history mantained at dealership

I used to buy mobil 1 5w-30 from wally world and take it with me to the dealer for my 07ES. Lexus never had a problem with it, in fact it was my service advisor who suggested it to me.

There is Lexus documentation that states that Lexus does not "like" the use of dino oil after synthetic oil has been used. I cannot find the "Oil Usage" TB or Tech Tip that made that statement, but I found this: http://lexus2.custhelp.com/app/answe...%2C1284%2C1325

Oldgrump - thanks for your research into this. I would try to take my own Synthetic oil to dealership and ask them to change it for me, if they are fine with this option..
