Navigation for 2008-2013 Es350
Hey all,
I am going to purchase an ES350 in the next few weeks. There is quite a price difference between used Es350's with navigation and without. I'm thinking about splurging and going with the navigation.
I noticed the ES 350 has a small back window which makes backing up difficult. Has anyone noticed difficulty seeing while backing up?
Is it worth it to splurge for the navigation which includes the backup camera or am I fine purchasing a Lexus w/o navigation/backup camera and saving a few thousand dollars?. Also, for those of you that have navigation, how happy are you with the system as far as accuracy and user friendliness?
Please advise and Have a great day! Thanks!

Personally, I 'd spend the extra cash for the nav. Car definitely has some blind spots, and the backup camera comes in handy.

A few months ago I would have said spend for the navi ... then I had a loaner from the dealer with the Navi and wow, did it suck!
Everything screamed cheap, including the chinsy sounding center speaker in the dash. Sounds like a transistor radio from the 60s. The navi itself was pretty unusable as the screen is way below the dash level (which is why in 2013 they raised it up, with a horizontal deck rather than a vertical stack).
Backup cam is nice, but really not worth the extra dollars. I'm thinking of getting a small screen and mounting it somewhere hidden just for backing up. The navi.... who cares? If you can't make it around your town 99% of the time, you don't need it.

I prefer navigation in my car(s). I like the integration of other functions and convenience, plus you get a little of the extra cost back at trade in. And in a lot of cars, the ES350 included, it just looks better.

I went with one without nav, but I upgraded the stereo, aftermarket. I like a good sound which I use all the time vs 0.01% nav use. Granted, I like the look of nav screen over the stereo only

I went with a double DIN aftermarket stereo that has a backup cam option (cam is dirt cheap) but skipped the nav. I like my Garmin up higher on my dash. I place it directly in front of the center speaker with a windshield mount.
