Default Opinion on price of my 2009 ES350

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...-warranty.html

Being that I purchased a Lexus Platinum extended warranty and the car has 50K mile, what is your opinion regarding my asking price? Owners in my area are asking about the same price as I am, but they don't have the Lexus warranty as I do. Dealers are asking a whole lot more.

A friend of mine offered me $20K, but I turned him down.

Thoughts???

You can sell the car without it and get a refund for the unused portion of the warrany.

Yes, but I have it advertised with the warranty. I think that is a good selling point and it also adds value to the car. Most cars this year or older do no come with any warranty as the original factory warranty has already expired.

Anyone who is really interested would not elect to have the warranty removed and be able to buy it cheaper.

I'm interested if I have it priced correctly with the warranty included.

Most people will check the internet for pricing on a car and see that yours is too high! They won't consider the extra warranty thrown in because they don't know what the cost on it was. Like garsarno said, I would pull the warranty out and re price it. You could either get a refund or offer it to a prospective buyer for a fair price.

I would Post an add and have two prices in it
First find out from Lexus what your pro rated refund would be
and you can place the sale price at the Market value that you think is fair without the warranty
and then also offer the option of the warranty for an additional amount

I reduced the price and stated in the add that the extended warranty is available at an additional cost. I guess I'll have to wait till Monday to see what my reimbursement will be.
