Exclamation 2007 ES350 12volt outlet and cigarette lighter not working

Before you comment yes I have searched this and triple checked the fuses under the drivers side dash (where there are two fuses that are 20's) both are fine...I have seen a lot of other models comments and fixes any specific to the 2007 and up es350 ...thanks

Take a volt meter and test both sides of the fuses to make sure voltage exists on both legs

Take a volt meter and test both sides of the fuses to make sure voltage exists on both legs. Also make sure the car is on, it turns off when the car is off. Sucks for charging cell phones unattended.

hmmm 2 separate fused circuits with the only thing in even closely in common is the e37 junction connector box (#2 for cig and # 6 for power). I would guess the thing that u are trying to plug in is not working properly. dhmhik

My lexus service advisor decided to treat me like an idiot and say well you shouldn't use the cigarette lighter as a charger...really...I went on to explain that I only use the the auxiliary as I use the line in so we can connect our iPhones I will try and just replace the fuses...should I look at fuses under the hood and is there any other location in the car?

Have you verified with a volt meter that there is power to the outlet(s)? Does the lighter work (heat up) when you depress it?
