Default Bluetooth Function Question

I just purchased a 2013 ES350 and have had issues with the Bluetooth link. I use T-Mobile as my cell carrier and at this time I have a Sidekick phone (Droid). I had problems with it staying connected on our 2010 ES but with the new 2013 it disconnects within a minute and is then impossible to reconnect. Lexus tells me that there are problems with connections between Droid type phones and the Lexus Bluetooth system. T-Mobile acknowledged that there have been problems with the Sidekick model phone with Lexus. T-mobile tells me there other Droid type phones will be fine with the Lexus or possibly one of there Windows based phones. Lexus told me to try to buy an IPhone and that should work fine. Does anyone else have this problem or does antyone else have a suggestion on what type new phone to use since I evidently can't use my Sidekick.
