Rust and Questions 2007 ES 350
Hey all,
Recently picked up a 2007 Lexus ES 350 with about 60K on it.
Problem is that there is some rust on the car. Couple of really small paint chips on the hood have rusted a bit as well as two larger chips on the support arm (frame) by the front windshield. In addition. have about 3 really tiny rust spots at the top of the windshield.
Needless to say I'm not happy. Also wondering about the other spots that might have rust that I don't know about.
Anybody have a general idea how much it will cost to fix up tiny rust spots? Will they need to repaint an entire area as opposed to cutting out the rust and touching it up?
Does rust proofing prevent existing rust from spreading?
Really hope this doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Forgot to mention as well that I picked up a scratch pen off of ebay to get the rust out and use the touch up paint I got from the dealership. The circumference of the pen tip was too big so trying to remove the rust from the tiny spots only did more damage to the clean areas.
Looked into rust converter but I heard that it was bogus.
THanks.

Thanks
THanks Lou,
Yeah I did previously read that thread you mentioned.
Was hoping that there was some additional info someone might be able to share in terms of the cost but I guess that will be the closest thing I can come across with so far.
Will probably take the car into the shop next weekend and see what they have to say. Expecting the worst though...
Thanks again for your help.
