Default Question about the tool in the trunk

Hi, I just got a 2009 EX350 and I was looking at the tool tray in the trunk. There is a rectangle cut out on the left tray. Does anyone know if there is suppose to be something that goes in that rectangle cut out. See picture.

You got me curious and I just went outside and looked at mine - I have the same empty spot.

I made my own insert and have always used that spot to hold some additional tools of my own choice. I also removed that towing or tie-down bolt and put a couple of tools in that space as well. When I got my 2010 rather than redo everything I just moved that piece to the new car and put the new piece in the 2007.

I have wheel locks but got nothing in that spot. I have yet to find the lug key. Just had the car in for service and they did brakes for me, but didn't mention it was missing or anything. So either the service tech knew where it was hidden, or they just used one from their universal set. I guess I should really find this thing before I'm stuck somewhere.

Yeah, I just wondering if I was missing some items. It seems the square is a big space for just a wheel lock.

FYI, the dealer has all the wheel lock that is available. So I bet they just use their.

Correct, the first aid kit is much too big to fit there and it's normally velcroed to the back of the trunk.

My wheel lock lug key is in a square plastic pouch in this position.
