I need your helps for those who did the modification as stated by Sonartech.

I did make the connection to the proper harnesses and wires colors, but i only have access to the music folders and maintanance while driving. The calendar option is grayed out for some reasons and the date is back to dec 2000 ????!!! .....

I made an extention wire to connect the sky blue wire to the P2 pin 4 harness, everything is soldered.

While i did the modification, i also made the DVD movie mod which involved wiring the middle yellow wire from the E62 harness to a grounding spot on the dash and the mod works.

Can somebody help me out on the calendar option, why is it back to dec 2000 ? can i reset the car computer or something ? thank you.

PS: i've pm'ed Sonartech, but it seems that he is not among us anymore.

Update: problem solved, resetted the car computer and drove around, it picked up the nav signal to update the calendar to present date.

Danm, i don't know what happen, after driving around again, i can only access the music folders while driving, plus watching the DVD movie, but the maintenance and calendar is grayed out again........

Plus, the DSL (Driving sound level) function is still working while driving, that should not work if you do the mod correctly ???!

I've recheck like 10 times all the wiring, and everything is well done, i did a wire extension that is 10 inchs long with 18awg wire to connect the sky blue color wire to the orange wire..

Please help, i can't wait to reinstall my dash back on. thank you.
