Check out edmunds.com and go to True Market Value. You plug in your zip code, the equipment the car has on it and it it gives you what others are paying for that type of car. It's a good place to start.

should be able to get -- 9 -11% off msrp ( list ) dont settle for less...anything more a big plus . This is a fair deal for both sides...plus ask about 1.9 % interest rate if you are financing veh. Good luck !

Not a cent over invoice. I normally go for below dealer employee pricing.

Just got home. Cahmere, or tungston pearl. $25,175 +spare $205+Heated seats $640+Wood Leather $330+cargo net+delivery = $37,511. They let me walk when I told them $34,000. They were at $34,500. Only 4 on hand total. They had a tom like 40 of the 250s to small for me. They told me invoice is $34,414 and 34,500 is there best.

If I don't hear from them in a few days do I fold? I hate the process. Thanks Dorothy

Default Wait a while

It is too early in the month. Wait until the 25th.
I bought mine 30 Apr. Made an offer on the 28th. We were $3k apart.
The salesman called me 9:30 in the morning the next day and accepted my offer. Tried to tell me 2.9% for financing. Told him to call back when he could get the 1.9%.
We picked up our Matador red on the 30th (with 1.9% financing). Paid invoice on the car. MSRP was 41,215.
Just be prepared to walk. The economy still isn't good enough for them to fool around too much.
BTW, the dealer closest to us got upset when they found we had purchased 60 miles away. They told us we couldn't buy the car for what we did and get the trade in money I wanted. I emailed him a copy of my sales order. End of conversation.

They have room to wiggle.... based on my knowledge ( I did extensive research prev. ) bought 2010 in March...inv is @ 9 - 9.5 % range off msrp....and that is what they have as Invoice..even that being said there is min 2-3 % holdback they get from Lexus Corp, plus other incentives can sway profit...# of days veh on lot and other factors. Bottom line you are only 500.00 off, i would deal directly with Sales Mgr and let him know you're ready to purch @ said price . If you're willing to go to Dallas i can hook you up with Salesman I dealt with very professional...I bought in Dallas even though I live in Houston suburbs . let us know how it goes.
