Lexus gave me new brake pads
Just thought I'd share, car was making a weird squeal going in reverse, I looked up in the TSB and sure enought it had a fix, took it in and Lexus did the TSB to the front and rear and put new pads on it, car only had 20k but sweet deal I've never gotten anything free from a dealer like that

There was a TSB for the front rotars and pads on the ES 300 too and I got them replaced. Hopefully, I won't have to experience this on my ES 350, but then again, I only have 8000 miles on my car I bought the first day it came out.

I also had a 4 wheel rotor and disk replacement on my 03 ES300 at about 15,000 miles. They caught it and it was 100% warranty - I had only complained of a very mild pulling while braking from time to time.

This is where the extra $15K between an ES350 and a Camry goes. Quality of car and quality of service. Hey, you don't go to a saloon as opposed to a barber shop only because the saloon looks better, you go there for the experience...

I bought a 2007 es350 w/ 9k miles and at 13k the brakes are squealing hard.

TSB is only on the rear brakes. I hoped that my dealer would do the front out of courtesy as I have seen on here many times before but they wouldn't budge.

I brought my ES350 into Johnson Lexus here in Raleigh for the exact same TSB work - squeak in reverse from the rear brakes. They replaced the brake pads all around. I've been very happy with their outstanding service.

I'll take mine in this week, I have the noise in reverse as well. 40K miles, hope they don't give me in any trouble. I think the TSIB is valid as long as the car is under factory warranty.

Well, I found out my VIN was above the cut off for the TSIB. My noise was a squeal in reverse. The TSIB is for a squeek in drive. It turns out I was down to 1/32 on the inside pads. So, basically I needed a rear brake job. Yeah, I gotta pay for it. I pick it up tomorrow. At 40K miles, I guess it is expected.
