First my transmission was replaced.
Second filed Lemon Law.
Third received new replacement car.
Forth in process of receiving a buy back.

Loaner car had flare.
new car had flare.
I just refuse to drive/own a new car with a replacement transmission. If I decide to sale the car later the history has a replacement transmission!

Maybe I will buy a 2008 ES350 if they get the problem fixed!

So after your first replacement you filed a lemon law claim? Is that what got Lexus to replace your original car?

Yes thats correct. Once the attorney was involved Lexus Corporate offered to replace the car. When the car arrived I test drove the car and the transmission was slipping. So I did not except the trade. Also one thing I noticed the new car was built in Jan 07 and it was late April 2007 when I car came in. I asked why Jan 07 and not March 07 or April 07 and they had no good answer.

In NJ the Lemon Law allows the manufacturer to repair the vehicle three times before it's declared a lemon, or be out of service for 20 days.

You must have had a good lawyer.

in CA, if it's a safety issue, and i believe mechanical issue, you get 2 tries. Everything else gets 3 or 4 attempts.

check the law. it might be the same in most states.

G-Lexus, are you gonna be a sucker and go back for another ES?
You know these babies aren't gonna be fixed for another 5 years, or maybe even forever, right?

CT has the same law regarding safety issues. However, does the slip qualify as a safety issue if your car never stalls out?

Unhappy

dunnojack, you make a great point. I have driven three ES350's and all three had the same transmission problem. So why should I buy another? I am going to check out the Infinity M35. What a shame....the ES350 was a nice car if it wasn't for the transmission problem.
