Just curious did you get the extra warranty for the ES?

No, I get rid of my cars just before the warranty ends. However, if you keep your cars a long time, I suggest it. If you get NAV, I understand that unit is several thousands of dollars to replace alone.

I bought my car in mid-May '06 and didn't get an extended warranty. The ES has a 48 month/50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and 72 month/ 70,000 mile powertrain warranty. I usually don't keep cars much beyond the factory warranty period, so for me, the coverage on this car is plenty long.

Yes, I did. I take care of my vehicles and hold onto them for a long time. (prev. Honda 222k mi., Volvo 99k mi.) With all of the specialty electronics and everything (just about) keyed into the navi system and screen I thought it prudent to do so in my case.
