So as not to 'dirty up' other threads -- What % tint is too dark for night driving?

Default So as not to 'dirty up' other threads -- What % tint is too dark for night driving?

Ok, there has been a fair amount of talk about tint. What % of tint both looks good, but doesn't effect your ability to see at night, especially when backing up?

You could do what I did...I was not certain of what value tint I wanted on a car. I was going for a darker color and the guy doing it said he would place a section on driver's side window and let me see what I thought, he placed a, more or less, 8 by 8 section on driver's window. He was right, the one I wanted was too dark though still legal in my state.

If you can manage the same test strip as above, I'd do it so ultimately you are very happy.

Tinting is like carpentry, measure twice, cut once...test strip one or test two, then have whole car done.
