I took the TSB's in with me. It is only free if your vehicle is still covered under your existing warranty. My issue was transmission and it was covered under the powertrain warranty which is 6 yrs/70k miles according to Lexus

2003 ES tranny problem
Hey, I'm not going anywhere I feel more "at home" here in ES side of the forum. I drove ES350 long enough to form my own bond with this car. Just because things didn't work out for me, it doesn't mean I don't care about this model anymore. I still would like to see resolution to these tranny problems, and sure hope '08 models will be perfect!!! I will also keep checking with TSIBs and will try to keep this thread updated.

I had replacement work done on my 2007 ES350s VVTI and camshaft under a TSIB 2622. Anyone have a copy of this? The symtoms were suddenly
1. Master Warning Light with "Check VSC" on the display;
2. The check engine light; and
3. The VSC slippery car light.
The TSIB mentions ticking from the cam gears though I did not notice it (until after the work was performed when I noticed it starts very quiet now)

What is TSIBs? Thanks.
I'm looking for a reason not to buy Lexus ES350 since the stuck up salesman at the dealership said I'm not allowed to touch the sport car in their showroom. His attitude made me felt like I was begging to buy a car from Lexus aka Mercedes. We have 3 Lexus in the family and just bought a ES350 6-months ago. I'm thinking of buying yet another Japanese car, and thought another ES350 would be good. Since that Lexus salesman insisted that I buy a ES350, there must be something going on with that car. He said there's no real or big changes when it is up for revamping - just lights and stuff. Rumor I got is that the ES 350 will have a major revamp in 2013. Would you or anyone have any idea what the changes are on the 2013 ES 350? Thanks,

Almost every 2007 ES 350 would not qualify for this fix as of the date it came out due to the mileage warranty restriction or the date of purchase. My 07' has been doing this from day one. I was told by the dealer that this was normal behavior back when the vehicle was under warranty. What recourse do I have now that I have just over 100K? I'd like to have this problem addressed but I'm not going to pay for something Lexus designed incorrectly and took them 5 years to figure out.
