Default 2004 ES330 Long Term

I am 75 yrs old with a 2004 ES330 that is in excellent condition. It currently shows a bit over 93,000 miles and has alway been garaged. I want to keep this buggy forever, but have reached the point where I need to consider replacing the timing belt, I have read suggestions that the water pump should also be replace at the same time. If that's the case, might as well change the plugs and have the valves adjusted.

I would appreciate thoughts on having these things done or simply "go for it".

Everything but getting the valves adjusted, I can't imagine that needing to be done

  1. Timing belt,
  2. water pump,
  3. crank seal,
  4. cam seals,
  5. plugs,
  6. valve cover (cam cover) gaskets,
  7. tensioner,
  8. thermostat,
  9. also, oil drain and fill + oil filter,
  10. and transmission drain + fill, plus new filter (its inside, requires pan removal).
  11. may I also suggest power steering drain and fill.
  12. check pads front and rear, replace if under 25% remaining.
this will all cost a fair bit, but you probably won't need to touch it again for several years.

valves don't require any work.

I have an 05 ES330 California car. Last year I hit the 95,000 mark and had my mechanic put in this kit. He did the radiator flush and fan belt with the water pump
Lot cheaper than the dealer.

The plugs and valves are on the back and top of the engine, and don't have anything with the timing belt job.

For the timing belt job, consider replacing the belt, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, water pump, serpentine belts and a coolant flush. Additionally you can change the cam and crank seals if they're leaking.
