New Tranny in but slipping again
So I just went through a rough time swapping my old tranny for a new one and what do you know the tranny starts slipping. Symptoms are the rpms going up and down, same as the spedometer. Also no drive or reverse gear. During the process of putting the new transmission in we had to take off the overdrive unit to get it to fit up the chassis. We were struggling to put it back into place but we got it and we used RTV to seal it because there was a paper gasket already installed. Another thing is the direct clutch speed sensor harness broke during the swap. What could be causing the slipping? Could it be messing with the overdive unit? Or could it be the sensor not getting a good connection?

aww man that sucks. but its to be expected. you can't swap transmissions by de-coring the old one and installing a new core while the transmission casing and bell housing remain in place. i can't count the issues that should be causing.
