Heavy bump from P to R
I have a 2000 ES300 and when leaving work today, I put my car into reverse from park and it violently shifted into reverse. I put it back and park and tried it again. It continued to happen when initially shifting into reverse. It has no loss of power while driving in reverse, but seems to be in limp mode while in D. I have had a code for the shift solenoid for a few weeks now. When in drive, car won't go over 2k rpms. My car has the u140e trans, I'm curious if anyone has a diagram of the trans and motor mounts, or if anyone else has had the same issue, if so, how did you fix it?

What is the service history of the transmission? What colour is the fluid?

Did you also drop the pan and change the filter? If the fluid is fresh and the filter is new/clean then it sounds like one of your shift solenoids has gone out or perhaps a more serious mechanical problem. What's the exact code?

- I did change the filter and clean the pan. I can't remember the exact code. But it says "shift solenoid circuit A and B"

I'm sure you've read up on this you'll get that code due to incorrect fluid level, dirty fluid or clogged passages, failed solenoid (uncommon) or damaged wiring. Or rarely a bad ECU.

Don't think it's an engine/trans mount. Put my car in reverse today to back it out of the garage and the bump was nonexistent. Pretty sure it's a shift solenoid or TPS. I read that a failing TPS can cause harsh shifting, lack of power in accelerating and a sort of limp mode, all of which I've been experiencing
