I replaced the driver's side low beam about 6 months ago and it worked fine until recently. Now the low beam only functions intermmitantly. That is, it works for a while, then doesn't. I've read that replacement bulbs may not last that long, but only 6 months? Bulb was around a $100 and a PITA to change, so I'm wondering if there's possibly another electrical component that could be causing the intermmitant problem.

Are those factory HID headlights, or regular Hallogean lights?

what bulb did you use as a replacement?

I used the standard replacement Sylvannia HID bulb available at Autozone.

If u are going to try new bulb, for just a little more, you can buy a toyota OEM HID bulb (ebay, amazon). If not too painful, try to swap the left and right bulbs and that way you would know if it is the bulb or some other electrical issue.
