Default Lexus 2005 es330 leak

I have rain dripping in through the barrier between the windshield and the driver and passenger window. Coming in from both sides, same spot. I now have the VSC, check engine and Trac lights on. Anybody ever have a similar problem? Had a leak in a similar area a few years ago. I understand the car is 10 years old, only has 50,000 miles...Should this be happening? Again?

Seemed to be another clog in the moonroof, opened and cleaned the holes where the rain is supposed to drain. Seems like I fixed the problem, no more drip, no more water pooling in moonroof...Problem is, check engine light is still on. Can a regular gas station mechanic deal with this, or does it have to go to Lexus and the Lexus computer? They will be much more expensive.

If you suspect it is from the water and want to clear it, go to any major auto parts store (Napa, Autozone, O'Reilly, etc.). They will loan you a scantool for free while holding a CC or your ID, and you can read it right then and re-set the codes.

If you want to be prepared for this in the future, and you have an Android phone, you can buy an ELM327 bluetooth unit off Ebay for around $6 delivered. You then download Torque Lite (free) to your phone and you have your own reader (and much, much more). Apple is not so easy/cheap.

Will somebody be there to help me? I've never used that device before.

And how would I reset it? Is there any downside?

Remove your negative battery cable, the black one. Wait a sec, re attach the cable and codes should be reset.

Wait longer than a sec - wait about 10 minutes to make sure it gets reset.

I need a wrench, what else? Sorry for all the questions, im pretty far from a mechanic. Just want to keep myself safe and not destroy anything.

That should be it. I think the bolt on the battery cable is 10 mm

Apparently issue is a front end oxygen sensor...and leak had nothing to do with check engine light, just coincidence.

If it's on the front exhaust manifold - good. If on the rear - bad!

Its front, mechanic quoted me about $220 for sensor and 1 hour for labor if all goes well. He warned me that there are 4 total so this can happen 3 more times. Car is 11 years old.
