Just as a thought, the Camry came with a hand brake on LE and SE models and a foot brake on XLE models. Since the cable is the same up to the console, maybe that can give you a basis for conversion, although you'd have to be creative and find a way to integrate the handle into the ES center console.

Thanks for the info. That's a good place to start. So you would prefer a hand vs electronic solution?

I would prefer a hand brake over any electronic brake.

I hate the new cars coming with electronic brakes now.

Its just more electronics that can fail, and not work when you want to (for example, your battery dies, and you're on a sloped driveway or something, now what?).

Also having a hand brake is funner than an electronic or foot brake when you feel like having fun in the snow

That is why I want a handbrake, to use as a driver input device. It is very useful in this manner. My wife's car has the electronic and it's all or nothing, you push the button while you are moving and the rears just lock up. I much prefer the modulation you have with a proper handbrake, especially on a FWD car.

This, is why I'm driving my Lexus. I hit a 2004 Hyundai and totaled both cars.
