2004 ES330 Headlight Housings Upgrade?
So I've searched, and can't really find a good answer. I want to get projector headlights because the light output sucks with my reflector lenses. I'm looking to go with 55W 6000K, I'm familiar with the output and color output.
What do you guys recommend doing? I'm thinking about trying out some cheap eBay projector housings and getting some 55W HID's for them.

The concensus seems to be that OEM projectors are the way to go, some people are happy with the eBay units though. Also, your bumper has to be removed to swap.the housings making it more or a pain than ususal.

Got it. I might take the chance with the eBay ones. And I know about the bumper. Thanks!

Here's my input.
I've got OEM halogen projectors on my ES330. With an HID kit in there, the light output is absolutely horrible. The bulb is at the wrong angle and most of the light ends up blocked by the cut-off shield. So don't consider OEM halogen projectors as an upgrade. For now I have to stick to halogen bulbs
A few years ago I had a 2003 Camry and bought Spyder Halo Projector lights (from CarID). They used H1 halogen bulbs, but I dropped in an HID kit. Man those things were BRIGHT! They lit up the road perfectly with a decent cut-off. The only thing that I should have done was cover the sign-spotters to prevent direct head-on glare.
Here's a pictorial video of the installation:
And the final output:

Awesome, thanks for the advice. I'll just have to find a decent kit. I'll keep the thread updated as I go along. I might even retrofit the OEM ones after I install the new pair. I also plan on swapping out the incandescent bulbs for the lisence plate with LED's. Just the little things. I love the car though. The 3MZ has plenty of power.
