My car idles at 500 RPM, which I think is too low, if I'm on a ramp it will roll back at idle. Can the idle speed be brought up on this car? It runs as smooth s silk at that speed, just too low!

Mine idles around that rpm. Don't depend on the car to hold it's own at idle on an incline, they are not like the older cars that idled around 600 to 750 rpm or trucks that have a lot more torque down low.

I read another thread where cleaning the TB fixes it. I have some TB cleaner, so I'll give it a shot. Problem was, I was leaving a store and the parking ramped down to the road, and I had to back up a bit so I put it in reverse and it kept rolling forward until I added gas!

mine idles around 600rpm, don't count on the gauge to read accurately. mine also will roll backwards on an incline. It runs and drives perfectly.

I have the torque app on mine with a obd2 bluetooth dongle, idles around 700 with AC on. consistently, had a tune up done last year per the original owner.

mine's a 2000 ES300 platinum.
