Missing suspension parts?
I recently bought a 93' Lexus. It had a broken coil spring. I bought OESpectrum struts and Moog coils to replace the front. The front passenger side had only had a bumper and a rear upper coil spring seat. No, metal piece for the upper spring seat. And the mount had no bearing either. Everything was resting on the spring. I'm assuming that's why it broke.
If anyone can help, it'd be awesome.
When I get home I'll take pictures of what was left.

Mounts & bearing -metal, Upper insulator -rubber, bumper, coil spring, which go on strut. You mean one or more of these missing and it was still working at the time you bought it. It should have had some problems.

1992-1994 has the bearing at the bottom of the strut assembly (not in the upper mount) so maybe one side was replaced with a newer style '95-96.

I took off the other one, and it's the same. So, there's supposed to be a bearing on in the seat. CHECK
And there was an upper coil spring insulator, but every time I look up the part, it only appears as a "REAR upper insulator. That was the only piece between the mount and the coil spring, not metal piece. Is that the way it should be? Because that's what it's starting to look like.

Pretty much all I'm asking is that for the year of my car, 1993, is the only thing between the mount and the coil spring a rubber insulator? And is it described as a rear upper insulator?

Well, that's odd that they describe it as a rear part when it's used in the front. THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU'RE THE REAL MVP. I guess I'll keep the Monroe boot kits for the bumpers and buy the rear upper insulator and use the rubber on that to protect the strut. Or maybe both.

The link you posted is the rear boot (for back struts) aka insulator.

Everywhere I look for the upper insulator, they don't have it. The only similar part is for the rear. Am I going to have to go to the dealership for it, or can I just use the one in the link?

Search Google, Amazon and Ebay for 48157-33020. From Toyota it is not that expensive left and right side use the same part. The rear one is completely different.

Right on, I'll go to the dealerships today and compare prices. Need everything done ASAP. Because car has been on jack stands for the last couple of days.

Would it be a bad idea to install get the upper mount bearing and the upper seat and install it in the strut even though the bearing is in the seat already?
