post size of aftermarket rims rubbing question
just trying to get info
like this
to see what is a problem and not
size of :
tire (225/40-18 ,toyo T1-s)
width of rim (18X7.5)
offset (42mm)
and rubbing (none)
suspension height changes (eibach 1 inch drop, stock shocks)

1995 ES300
18x8 Inch Wheels
42mm Offset (backspacing)
225/40/18 Kuhmo Tires
Eibach Pro-Kit 1" drop front & Rear
Tokiko struts at all 4 corners
RUBBING: Yes, not a whole lot. But it's there. It's worse if people are in the back. So I don't have them ride any more. I've notice it rubs jussst barely when taking corners at high speeds.
My assumption is that it rubs for most who use the wider rim, 8.0 and higher.

Do you get close when you have a load in the rear or taking corners hard?

i think the problem depends on the offset...mine were 43
before i had a set of rim...17" x 7 with 42 offset... it rubbing at the back like crazy with 235/45-17... on my accord...also i think the ES has bigger/wider fender flare then camry and accord..
nothing rubbing with load or taking corner....
i try to take some pic later on, to show u what is it look like on the side...
