I think that's an excuse made up by KYB. 15% stiffer because then they can make the exact same strut cartridge and put it in dozens of car models. I'm not saying the KYB's are bad they are not and in fact are high quality struts. But like MrBooby says, if you want the Lexus ride then get the Lexus struts. And heck they are not even that much more expensive, assuming you live in the U.S.
