no start on my es300
I bought an es300 that was hit in the nose. its almot together but I can't get her to turn over. I have all dash lights and everything else seems to be working ,but when I turn the key to start it, I get nothing. I was wondering if there was a kill switch or something that trips when these things are in an accident. the car is a 2001 es300. any help would be apprciated

Have you tried boosting it?
If it starts with a boost, then your battery is dead.
If you tried boosting, and still no crank, then it might be the starter might be dead.

If you never started this car before, than most likely you got the wrong security key for it. Does your security light tun off when you put it into the ignition? If not, do you have another key you can try?
If the security light does turn off, and it still doesn't start than than try starting it in Neutral.

I replaced the starter,i have tried starting it in neutral, and I have 2keys,one security and one valet and it does the same with both.(nothing). my battery is at 12.58 when I checked it with the meter and the security light turns off when either key is in and turned to the start position. it also flashes a weak light when key is off

What do you mean when you say that " it flashes a weak light when key is off" which light?
In the meantime check your battery cable terminals to make sure that they are not loose. Have Autozone perform a free battery/charging system check.
Have you ever started that car using the keys you have?

the weak light is the security light in the dash. as for starting the car with the keys I have, ,no I never started it but the nice elderly lady I bought the car from used them both .as for autozone if they had compident people who lasted for more than 6 months I might try them , but I don't think so right now.

had that same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago I left my car park for about 8 moth they try to start it when I was coming home they couldn't get it to start the battery was good they try to boot it nothing they try a new battery nothing, my brother in law have a mechanic guy upstairs start it I notice that he run a wire from the starter to dash under the staring based on what my brother in law said the guy said it have something to do with the alarm cause there was power in the engine but the car would not start I will post a screen shot later if that will help, from what I C there is a little wire that connect to the starter solenoid he cut it and run it from starter to up under the staring.
also I notice now I cannot open my driver side the alarm go off but the passenger side open ok so I just open the passenger side first to de-activate the alarm cause I only have 1 key and no remote
out of curiosity lock all the door and then open the passenger side with the key get in and try to start the car c if tat will disable the alarm
tomorrow I will post a pic of what the technician did
