My engine has been making a strange noise for awhile now. There was a leak in my flex pipe that I had fixed, but that didn't fix the noise. Here is a link to me starting the engine and pushing down on the gas a few times. Hopefully the sound from the video sounds as bad as it does in my garage. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get my engine sounding good again are appreciated. Thanks.

Tough to say. Are you using the right engine oil and is the oil level good? Seems like the noise is engine speed dependent, so try looking at belt driven components. Alternator, power steering, water pump, other pulleys.

Thanks, I'll start there. We replaced the power steering pump awhile back so maybe it's something there.

i have a 2001 lexus es300 and mine is making the exact same noise.
