can anyone please provide part number for this hose? I explained to toyota parts lady that I need the coolant hose under the intake manifold, but she said their parts diagram was poor and didn't clearly identify it.

I plan to replace my knock sensors, which I believe requires re& re of intake manifold, so replacement of this hose would seem to make sense. but no part number is frustrating.

OR, what is the complete, proper Lexus name for this hose?

thanks

If you pull that manifold, do replace that hose. I'll see if I still have the receipt. I think I had to call another Lexus dealer out of town to get the PN. Or I got it from the Toyota shop down the street.

Ok, I remember now. I found the part number on-line from a dealers website that had all the parts listings on his site. I found the link to the dealer here.

Our local dealer did NOT have the part in stock (which I found hard to believe, just supports the fact that the older cars, 10+ don't see the dealer often), so, they had to order it and it came in 2 days.

You have a 93, right? I'm no expert but I believe you have the 3vz-fe engine in your ES. My Haynes manual references this hose for the 1MZ-Fe engine only. Not the 3VZ-FE engine. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

where can I view OEM dealer parts diagrams?

On mine, the engine type is stamped into the front engine block when you look at the engine from the front of the car. It says 1MZ. It is sideways, vertically. If that makes any sense.

okay, I'll look, shouldn't be too hard.

and thanks very much for those links. awesome write up .

on the 3vz engine, they seem to show a solid metal coolant tube under the intake, but not a hose like the others. that'd be a bonus.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about a 1996. Not sure what the 3VZ has in its place.

tomf posted a great how-to link from Toyota nation site, for a 93 camry on my knock sensor topic . strange thing is, looked like a solid metal coolant tube with no hose, under the intake manifold (=bonus) . Also, when I looked on ebay for that part number, I thought a couple links said production date 06/93 or newer. so more digging needed.

Remember production of new model year cars start in the prior year. So a ES built after 06/93 is probably a 94 model year car.

Usually there is a plaque on the driver's frame or door that lists the date of manufacture. Check that to find out when your ES was manufactured.

It is just a coolant hose. I did not even consider getting "Lexus " hose from the dealership. I just went to Autozone and bought a foot of hose, cut to length and installed. That was 2 years ago and it is still working fine.
