Lexus Es300 Spark Plugs
Hey guys so I found some cheap NGK Spark plugs on ebay and was wondering what your guys opinion is on these.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NGK-G-POWER-...a58b53&vxp=mtr
It seems like they are pretty good, especially for 6 of these for just $25.
Do you guys think these will work pretty well in a 98 Lexus Es300.
Supposively they require less voltage to fire off and increase fuel economy.
Please let me know your guy's opinion and that will help me determine if I want to purchace them or not.
Thanks

Add 10-15$ and you can get the iridiums... at most US retailers. Not sure why you're using ebay for spark plugs when o'reilly or partsource is the same price.
The NGK bkr6eix-11 is what i run in two lexus'. 'more' than what you need/manual calls for, but i'm not about to hunt down the [now] dated NGK/Denso plugs the manuals call for since they don't make them.
As long as its Denso/NGK iridium, you're good.

I used Denso PK20TR11 Platinum Dual Electrode spark plugs, when I replaced mine. It's what the manual calls for, and the underhood sticker says to only use dual electrode spark plugs. I'm not sure if that's actually required, but they seem to work very well. I only paid $50 for six of them(Amazon). It's a great investment considering their service life of 100k miles.
Don't buy into the whole "gas mileage improvement", it's a load of crap.

And i didn't see any reference to the dual electrode in my manual, just the blurb about NGK/Denso Iridium and their [now dated] part numbers.

Engines with waste spark use double electrode plugs. Waste spark means the engine only has 3 coils, so the spark plug fires on the intake and exhaust stroke. Use ONLY the plugs recommended by Lexus, otherwise the engine will not run properly.
