Strut nut spins when I try to tighten GEN3??
Hey guys I had to take my Solara strut bar out today to reclear the strut bar and when I put it back on, I checked to make sure the large strut nut in the middle was nice and tight but when i started to turn the nut spins and doesnt tighten and it happens on both sides. The nut spins with looks like some kind of rubber bushin that is around the nut, is this normal???
Heres a picture so you know what nut im talking about and when i try to tighten it up it spins

You need a impact wrench to remove or install those nuts, because they will spin. Did you loosen them when you removed them? The nut is normally a nyloc nut, and should be replaced each time, not re-used.
If you did not loosen them, I would not be concerned unless one side looks like there are less threads showing than the other. If you did loosen them, I would strongly recomend not doing that again, on many cars, the spring is under pressure. Removing that nut will release the pressure without any controll.
