2ES: 6 disc changer issue...
Hi,
I would like 2 know if there is a way to diagnose and repair issues on a Pioneer 6 disc changer unit on my 92 Lexus ES300? This is my second 6 disc changer since my last one kept on jamming my CD's and did not eject couple months back(still have it just in case).
I disconnected my battery 4 a lil bit because I was working on my engine and I connected the battery back. It will eject and take cds but it would not play. It displays "Err" after attempting to play all 6 discs on my head unit. If theres a way to repair this I would appreciate it or a place where they will repair it. (dont know any locally at this point).

Two things to try:
1) if you have all CD-R discs (discs that were recorded on a computer) in the changer, replace at least one of them with a pre-recorded disc. The Pioneer changer sometimes has a hard time recognizing CD-R discs. Seems once it can read a good disc first, it will have better luck when you switch to a CD-R.
2) Try cleaning the player with a CD cleaning disc. It has a micro brush on it which will brush dust off the laser head.

Hey Lexucan,
I tried option 2 of cleaning the 6 disc changer with the cd cleaner with the micro brushes on it. It still dont work or does it's job. Like before it does everything else but play...any other options i can do so i can play my tunes on my Lex?
