Noise after KYB GR-2 strut and coil (Teins) replacement
So my original post showed how my car was transformed from being a highrider to a lowrider. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=344899
Just last week I started hearing noise coming from the front passenger side wheel when I turn left and now its pretty loud. I get a little bit of the noise when I turn right on the same side but its not as loud. It doesn't sound like a CV joint.
The best I can describe the noise is like when you're on a boat and you hear the creaking sound of wood expanding and contracting.
My brother was the one who did the install and he thinks that it has to do with the rubber cushing at the end of the springs. He suggested that I buy KYB strut insulators but they don't have it listed for the 94 ES or 94 Cmary XLE. They do have a part number for the 97 - 01 ES300 part number KYB SM5441.
Has anyone bought any strut insulator for the 2nd Gen ES? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

I get the same noise. Even more prevalent when it's raining. I assume it's due to the spring on rubber contact. I greased when assembling and it didn't start happening until a few months later. Guess it's time to get the White Lithium out.

I'm in the same boat, my mechanic said I may want to consider changing the bearings, but everything looks ok. He re-seated everything for me yesterday, and that's the only thing he could come up with
