Yes it is the same. I used to do that on my 01.
Always be careful when removing the signal lamp not to break the headlight tap.

Nice Write-up.

Default Just did it ...

Took 1 hour ...

But now I have fully functioning fogs ...

Thanks OP for the writeup ... and more importantly the pictures ... I had to come back and check the pictures for the clip that holds the foglamp...

All in all a vvery satisfying endeavor ... Thanks once again ..

Glad your fogs are up and running!

I'm pleased to see how many people have benefited from this write-up. I urge other members to submit their write-ups with pics too! Whilst it can take a while to prepare them, the help they provide is valuable to everyone especially when you have pictures. - I have certainly saved a lot of cash and gained heaps of useful knowledge by following other write-ups on CL.

Let's all return the favour - get posting!

I know this is an old thread. But thank you so much! I just order a new set of Xenon bulbs and will be replacing all of my globes, including fog lights, and was not looking forward to removing the bottom panel the gain access.

Nice write up, your car is really clean. There's not even dirt behind the fog lights.

Thanks Chrispy,

And thanks to everyone else for taking the time to post comments. It's really great to receive good comments - it makes doing the DIY write up worthwhile in the end!

I'm glad people are still finding it useful.

I'm no expert, I just always try to do write ups whenever I have experienced a problem that I have worked out how to fix.

I've recently done one on how to replace a peeling B-pillar on a 97 ES. I started off by asking for help, but ended up doing the DIY! Here it is:

Ah yes, that is another DIY I have book marked. Going to be one of my near future projects. Do you by chance of any plans on doing a DIY for the weather stripping (correct me if I am using the wrong terminology) around the doors as well? Actually looks worse on my car then the B pillars do, so I want to replace them at the same time.

Your nicely detailed DIY write-ups are definitely an asset to the Club Lexus community.
I too try to encourage ppl to do likewise if/when they discover a solution to a problem, or come up with a cool mod that others might want to do also.

Hi Infin1ty,

Glad you could use the DIY's. Unfortunately I don't have a DIY on the rubber weather stripping pieces around the doors/pillars. As with yours, my drivers side one is looking a bit tired and I haven't tried to replace it yet. I have found that sometimes the best way is to fix something is to buy the part (which you need anyway) and then look at it to see how it would fit on. If that fails at least you have the part already, and if it looks too hard you can always just take it to the mechanics!

Everyone, don't keep the info to yourself - submit those DIY's!
