Wink

id highly recomend that u purchase new pads...but if u must use old pads, place sand paper on the floor and holding the brake pad face down, run it thru the sand paper back and fourth until the glaze on the surface goes away and becomes smooth. dnno if thats what u wanted to know but it works

not to sure about this area, but wouldnt you think that an extremely coarse sandpaper my damage the new rotor as well?
but yeah, i would recommend getting new pads as well. as the wear most likely wont be even.
