Default Aftermarket brake kits

I'm doing some major work on my 2000 ES300 Platinum edition and I was looking to do a brake upgrade. I'm thinkin bigger rotors and calipers and new brake lines. Has anyone done this to their ES yet and if so what parts are availible and did you go with?

brembo and rotora make big brake kits for es300s.. 4 piston calipers on 13" rotors = $1700+

stoptech can also custom make you some brakes, but thats even more $$

Cool

Not even considering Stoptech has gained a horrible reputation with several in the general Toyota audiance.
It was so bad at one point an employee/major forum member (Not of this forum) quit working for them not long after he started LoL! (Obviously, money was also involved tehehe)

Stoptech get's a from me, tho I've never delt with them personally.

Cool

There was a thread ages & ages ago on ToyotaNation about Swapping supra brakes.
I swore up & down the supra brakes would NOT fit on anything near close to the wheel sizes & offset most people have. Somebody bought one used &... Well I was right.

Then came the supra rotor swap for the i4 Camry's.
Somebody got a machineist to start machining spacers so they could just put the rotors in. That had pretty much the same problem, and didn't last very long once people figured out it was all rotor bling + tiny i4 Camry caliper = tiny bit slower accelleration & not really any better braking.

My personal opinion on the brake swap matter, is that first gen LS400 brakes, and possibly some of the gen3/4 4runner brakes are going to have the best chance at a *useful* swap.

Guy at a shop I goto says stoptechs are very good, he said his customers were very satisfied. I would imagine they'de would generally the same way in a Lexus and Toyota, than in any other car. Maybe im wrong but I got good feedback from him and I suppose he knows his stuff. Could be wrong there too haha
